Three Windscreens

Old Newer Broken The bottom two photos were taken with a 1936 LTM Leitz Elmar 90/4 mounted on the M6. The broken windscreen shows that it can be remarkably sharp. The top photo was taken with a 1970′s Leitz Summicron 35/2 IV and manages to look more like the results I’d expect from the Elmar……

FP4+ Stand off

I thought I’d try stand developing FP4+ (box speed) in APH09 for an hour because I’m lazy enough to do that. I’m not overjoyed with the results though. Coupled with the Elmar 90/4 softness wide open I think the images lack something. Next time I’ll probably try 12 minutes with the usual agitation. Tower Bridge…
