Win, Win, Win, Lose

For slightly less than the current cost of a lightly used, burnished-aluminium hinged Bay II lens cover for the Rolleiflex 3.5F, I picked up a Rolleicord IId from eBay. As is often the case both with eBay and a camera built in 1949/50 it was a bit of a gamble.
