Except the service users will certainly lose some of these things…  Whitley Baywatch was sadly unavailable for the rescue After wandering around the rocks surrounding St Mary’s Lighthouse, we returned to the causeway connecting it to the mainland only to realise with horror that the reason nobody else was on the lighthouse was because the tide was racing in like a demon. The causeway was covered…  My own memory of the New Cross Fire is tangential but remains rooted in my memory 30 years later. I was living on the Old Kent Road, next to the Dun Cow, a little bit further up the road from the New Cross end where the fire took place, so such a terrible event felt…  I liked these bullrushes so much I photographed them again before the snow melted. These were in Blakemere Moss in the Delamere Forest. Funnily enough, walking through Foots Cray Meadows with The Dog the other day I saw lots of bullrushes in the River Cray and they looked really ordinary. Maybe it is the snow… |
