Site Revamp

I’ve revamped the site using a modified ProPhoto theme. Kept the same overall look and feel but everything should look better and hopefully useability is enhanced. Fingers crossed…

The adventure with film and the site is now over one year old, so it was about time.
The photo above was one of the ones that...

Skem Bare Market

Long time Skelmersdale council housing tenant Hazel Scully is pleased that West Lancashire borough council is planning a facelift for run-down Skelmersdale town centre – there’ll be a new high street, shops, cinema, library, sports centre, swimming pool, housing, and a lovely landscaped park to replace the spooky weedfest along...

Mass Photo Gathering In Defence Of Street Photography

Dear viewer, look away now if you don’t like grainy poorly exposed and focused B&W photos…
I pushed Tri-X to 1600 and in a fit of madness developed it in Rodinal. Since I was also guessing exposure and zone focusing the results are somewhat ‘interesting’. The images look slightly better resized when you click them.

What took me so long…

…to use HC-110 with Tri-X?
Love it.
I shot this test roll at EV 320 and developed it in HC-110 dilution ‘H’ 1+63 for 13 minutes. 30 secs initial agitation, 3 gentle inversions every minute. Leica M6 with Summicron 35/2 IV plus yellow green filter.

Overcooked

Bright sunlight, dark shadows, contrasty lens, red filter, Tri-X and Rodinal. Asking for trouble… These turned out a little overdeveloped grrrr.

Brollies, steps, doors & benches

A week of wondering around taking relatively few photographs. This roll seems to have a concentrate of my fave subjects…
I can’t resist a broken brolly, especially in such a dramatic setting. A broken brolly implies some sort of drama anyway.
There are plenty of benches on the roll
