Squeezing the last out of the 2011 photos. A sudden reinvigorating burst of camera after a couple of empty months.

I’ve always found The Faircharm unsatisfactory to photograph somehow. Possibly a clue is in the name. Somebody with a deep sense of irony must have thought that one up. What is there to like? So this is for the record. More new flats (Greenwich High Rd) in the background. An loads of banners telling us what it is.

I like the idea of the tide indicators that light-up ‘high’ or ‘low’ depending on the tide. But it is a statement of the bleeding obvious because to see the indicators you have to be looking at the creek anyway… fair enough though, it’s art.

The Faircharm is pretty unlovely and uninspiring, but I do feel a bit sad when I see it and think of the now-closed rehearsal studios we used to use in there; they were good, and good times were had.
