Through A Glass Smearily And Slobbery

Definitely a challenging assignment. As part of an ongoing project on the Dangerous Dogs Act we visited a re-homing site. Many, many dogs, but most behind glass. Glass = reflections (I didn’t have the polarizer with me duh), mud and slobber from the licking.

I haven’t gone through the shots yet but this appealed to me immediately, despite the above.

More to follow plus links to the published piece. I was expecting heartbreak but came away with my spirits soaring. An incredible place.

An absolutely beautiful photo, and the slobber and glass marks add to it, in my opinion. It gives that feeling of something between you and the dog, but the dog being able to connect anyway. Magnificent.
