Monthly Archives: May 2009 There is a path from Deptford Creek that runs parallel to the railway which got me thinking NEW PROJECT… I am beginning to notice bricked up doors and arches. Lots of them. Especially when I stretch my imagination. And then I hit beautiful recursive paydirt. Under the railway arches between Deptford station towards London Bridge…  I went out in the morning and the evening to the same place with the same camera and lens but different films and different light. Not with the intention of taking the same photos to compare the different emulsions and developers but because I ran out of film in the morning and wanted to return…  I’m drawn like a fly to this strange graveyard with its compelling gravestones and multi-functionality. There is a little shrine that I’ve noticed before and there has been some activity recently. The ground is carpeted with cherry blossoms creating some ambiguity. I’d like to know more about it. And there are of course the graves… |
