I took the FM2n with an old 105mm 2.5 Nikkor AI for a walk in Greenwich on New Year’s Day. People looked like they were suffering from amateur night. Amateur drinkers that is. Lots of secondhand faces. I’m smug in my sobriety hehe.
A very grey day so I loaded the FM2n with Tri-X rated at 800 and souped it in APH09 (Rodinal) for an hour’s stand development. This is rapidly becoming one of my favourite developing combos. The 105 Nikkor also has really nice bokeh in my opinion.
The only drawback really is the NOISE of the FM2n. The shutter/mirror sounds like a gun firing. Either it has got louder over the years or I’ve just forgotten how loud it is.
